CloudEx Inc. ("we") describes here how the Android app "Automation Pro" ("the app") handles information.

1. Information the app handles

  • The macros you create (triggers, conditions, actions and their settings) and variables
  • A log of macro runs (when which macro ran, and why one did not)
  • The app's settings

All of this is stored on your device and is never sent to our servers. The app does not ask you to create an account.

2. How permissions are used

Permissions are requested only when you create a macro that uses the feature, with an explanation first. The information is used on your device only, to check and run your macros. It is not stored or sent.

  • Notifications: for the running notification and the notifications your macros post.
  • Display over other apps: to keep the screen on, dim the screen, show the confirm box, and open apps or settings from the background.
  • Usage access: to know which app is in front, for the "App opened" trigger and the "App in front" condition.
  • Modify system settings: to change brightness, screen timeout and auto-rotate.
  • Do Not Disturb access: to switch the sound mode, Do Not Disturb and volumes.
  • Notification access (Premium): for the "Notification received" trigger and the "Clear notifications" action. The app, title and text of a notification are checked on the device when it arrives, and are never stored or sent.
  • Accessibility (Premium): to perform the screen actions you put in your macros (Back, Home, Recents, notification shade, Quick Settings, power menu, split screen, screenshot, lock screen, taps and swipes, tapping an item found by its text, typing into a field and scrolling). The app also reads on-screen text, but only when a macro item needs it: to find items, to check triggers and conditions, or to save it to a variable you choose. It never reads this app's own screens. It also receives the tapped items, volume buttons and fingerprint sensor swipes you set as triggers (your fingerprint itself is never read or used for authentication). What is read is used only on your device for that check or action; it is not stored except in a variable you choose, and we never collect or receive it.
  • Location: Android requires it to read Wi-Fi network names; also for place triggers and conditions (Premium). "Allow all the time" may be requested so this works while the app is closed. Your location never leaves the device.
  • Nearby devices (Bluetooth): to know which Bluetooth devices are connected.
  • Phone: to know when a call rings, starts or ends. Phone numbers are not read.
  • Calendar (Premium): to know when events start and end. Events are not changed or sent.
  • Make phone calls: only if you choose "Call right away" in the Call action.
  • Alarms and reminders / battery optimization exemption: so that time triggers run on time and Android does not stop the app.

The app does not access SMS or the call log.

3. Web requests

The "Web request (webhook)" action sends the content you set to the URL you enter. How it is handled there depends on that destination. We never receive it.

4. Backup

Macros and the log may be included in Android's automatic backup (your Google account). You can also export a backup file (JSON) to a location you choose.

5. External services

  • Google Play billing (buying and restoring the one-time Premium purchase), in-app review and in-app updates
  • Firebase Crashlytics / Analytics (when enabled): to find and fix problems, crash reports and usage events (such as app launches) may be collected together with device information and the device's advertising ID (AAID). They are not used to show ads in the app. They do not include your macros, notifications, on-screen text or location.
  • Sister apps list: fetched from our server to introduce our other apps.

6. Advertising

The app shows no ads.

7. Deleting data

Delete macros, use "Clear the log" in the Log tab, or uninstall the app to remove the information on your device.
